So I thought of the Golden Nugget and was able to secure a rate at half the strip casinos rate. All in all I loved my stay at the Golden Nugget and would definitely go back.Īfter 30 previous visits to Las Vegas I was not able to get a room on the strip for anything under $300 as something huge was happening. The Golden Nugget did have an older crowd and some children but that didn't bother me. I enjoyed not being on the strip because I could be away from all the action and relax, I did hate the bus ride to the strip, it took like an hour and a half to get to the strip. They have plenty of seating including beds around the pools and jaccuzi. I fell in love with the tank, it was just beautiful the water and the slide and the sharks and the fish, I felt like a kid again. The buffet in the morning was awesome too. My aunt ordered room service and she absolutely loved it, my friend and I ate in the 24 hour cafe and the food and service were great. would bother us but they did not, the curtains were very heavy and shielded the light. I was surprised by how clean the rooms were, they did not have that muggy, stuffiness feel or smell. Our rooms were in the South tower, and they are huge for the price. Unlike others I did not have a problem with check in, the guy that checked us in was not as helpful as I wanted him to be but we were only around him for 5 min. I stayed at the Golden Nugget from Apr 9-12, and I absolutely loved it.
